Shooting Sports Awards and Competitions
Each year an annual awards banquet is held usually
around the last of February. In addition to the awards and trophy presentations the banquet is a time to show appreciation for the hard work and efforts of the staff
as well as the volunteer efforts of the shooters.
Competition is usually keen throughout the season,
and the difference between first and second places may
be just one target out of a thousand. Awards/Recognition are given for the following events during the banquet.

The 25 straight Skeet and Trap pin is awarded to the member that shoots 25 straight consecutive targets under normal conditions during the year.
The Fred Blanch "Iron Man" award is presentd to the shooter that shoots "high over all" in all the disciplines. Trap, Skeet,
5-Stand and Sporting clays. This event challenges the best shooters to become better.
The Sporting Clay Challege is a 100 target event that tests member shooters with a variety of challenges. This event is not only fun to participate in but also to watch as well. A great way to "warm-up" for the upcoming hunting season, the member that breaks the most targets wins.
The Member Spirit Trophy is awarded to the one member who provided the most support to Shooting Sports that year. A very difficult award to determine season to season, with so much volunteer support from the members. Impressive permanent trophies are proudly displayed in the shooting Club house.
